Firm History

I have been registered with the IRS and preparing tax returns in the Willow Grove area for individuals and unincorporated small businesses since 1978. For three years before that I worked with my father, Carl J. Mastrovito, a real estate, insurance, and tax preparation expert in the Germantown section of Philadelphia since 1940.

Mary McAvoy was recently voted the Best Tax Accountant in 2009 for the Montgomery Newspapers Readers' Choice poll.

Mary was also voted Best Tax Preparer Readers' Choice Award for the years 2005 and 2008 from the Montgomery Newspapers.  In 2006 and 2007, Mary was also honored to be voted One of the Best Tax Preparers by the Montgomery Newspapers Readers Choice poll

(The category was eliminated in 2009).

My Education

My Bachelor's Degree is from LaSalle University. I attend annual tax update seminars given by TaxPro Seminars.

How to find my office

My home office is located one-half mile from Willow Grove Mall, near the intersection of Old Welsh Rd. and North Hills Ave., convenient to the turnpike and major eastern Montgomery County roads. I provide year-round service, offering day, evening, and week-end hours by appointment.

Fee Policy

Fees are based on the time required and complexity of the returns. A form 1040 with itemized deductions, PA, and local returns starts at $125.00. Also offered are electronic filing and preparation of any state return.
